Former Use	Previously utilized as a lumber and coal yard in the early 1900s, an electrical generating facility from 1916 until the 1940s, and an electrical substation from the 1940s to the 1960s. Since the 1960s, the site has been utilized for office space and maintenance and storage activities for electric utility companies. The site has been vacant since October 2011. The site was donated to the Redevelopment Authority in 2012.
Land Use	The six acre site is developed with ten buildings and all structures are vacant. There is a large communication tower on the site. The two large industrial buildings on the site are historic. One was built in 1916 as an electrical generation plant.
Infrastructure	Site is on a four-lane urban highway and immediately adjacent to railroad tracks. It is also 5 blocks from Interstate-110 and Downtown Baton Rouge.
