Construction to Begin on $8.5M Gateway Project
East Lansing will reimburse $1.8 million to Lansing Township-based DTN Management for its brownfield redevelopment of 300 W. Grand River Ave. near Delta Street into a four-story mixed use building according to Lansing State Journal.
Development of Utica Ballpark Moves Forward
According to Macomb Daily News, the MDEQ is providing a $1 million brownfield loan and $800,000 in DEQ Surface Water Quality Initiative funds to help the $12 million privately funded project.
Developer Plans $8M Apartment Building
Orion Construction Inc. and Parkland Properties of Michigan have secured incentives, permit variances and lower-cost financing needed for an $8 million High Point Flats apartment project in Muskegon's historic Hackley Bank building.
Grand Haven Considers Bond Option for DDA TIF Payment
According to the Grand Haven Tribune, the Grand Haven DDA TIF does not produce enough revenue to pay bonds' principal and interest. City officials are considering the sale a "refunding bond" to pay off the original TIF bond.

State Rural Development Councils (SRDCs) are organizations representing all levels of government, community, regional nonprofit organizations, and the private sector. The SRDCs can implement best practices, obtain technical assistance, determine funding sources, and assist local leaders with community development. This 2015 annual report highlights the impact that several SRDCs have had on rural citizens.
