Ford to Invest $1.3M in Rochester Plant Expansion
Empire State Development has offered assistance for the project through a $100,000 capital grant, while the city of Rochester is providing a $350,000 loan and Monroe County offered to accept payment in lieu of taxes.
AWWA NJ Delivers Testimony on Water Infrastructure
The testimony included a key water infrastructure element in S. 2848 which is a provision for $70 million so the new Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act loan program, or WIFIA, can start making actual loans.
New York City Regional Center Announces Repayment of $60M EB-5 Loan
The borrower of the EB-5 capital was the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation. The $60 million investment and resulting job creation enabled 359 individuals to receive permanent residency in the United States under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.
NY Awards $27M to Spur Agriculture-Related Industries
New York's Regional Economic Development Council has awarded nearly $27 million to support the growth of agricultural, food and beverage industries.
NJ Water Infrastructure Improvement Projects Announced
More than 30 projects have already been announced to improve the state's water infrastructure in the next year. These projects will include new green infrastructure initiatives, education initiatives, environmental cleanup and more.
$53M in Grants to Fund 12 Waterfront Projects Across North Jersey
The state grant money, which comes from a 2014 settlement between the state and companies accused of polluting the urban waterway, will fund projects to improve public access to the Passaic River.
$717M in REDC Awards Announced
Central New York will get $62.2 million in aid from the state to support 77 projects in the latest round of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's regional economic development council initiative. This is part of the total of $717 million from the state under the initiative.
