Downtown Kingman Merchant Group Seeks Development District
The Downtown Merchants Association requested that the city aid its pursuit to form a downtown development district. The idea, similar to an entertainment district, is to unite, develop and strengthen the downtown area while identifying, preserving and enhancing Kingman's history.
Taxpayers May Not Be Protected in Sale of AZ DBacks Ballpark
Taxpayers may be on the hook for the potential $60 million sale of Chase Field. Due to a loophole in the state constitution, taxpayers may not be protected due to the ballpark's TIF district, so the ballpark cannot be sold under the Gift-Clause.
